A HISTORY OF RAVING FANS
ECKSTEIN, SUMMERS, ARMBRUSTER & COMPANY

TO TELL THE COMPLETE STORY of our company is to tell
the story of thousands of successful companies we've serviced
along the way. That would take up the better part of a year,
so let's try something else.

Eckstein, Summers, Armbruster & Company (we'll call it "ESA"
for simplicity's sake) was founded on May 10, 1981, as Roland
L. Eckstein & Company
. In March of 1992, Gerry Summers
became a named partner (Eckstein, Summers & Company),
and nearly 14 years later in January 2006, Adam Armbruster
followed suit, yielding the company's current name.

Some of the first stations to sponsor our service back in 1981
(such as WGAL-TV in Lancaster PA) continue to see the results
of our efforts. We are still in their service today and hope
the same is true 25 years from now.

In the 1980s, ESA's service was predominantly vendor
partnership programs, to the tune of 70-80% of all
New Business revenue. A lot has changed since then.

Today, the company still implements vendor programs. But
this amount only represents a small portion (about 4%) of
all New Business revenue generated by ESA.

Today, ESACO is active in over 70 markets and generates
new business in excess of $80M per year. This is
accomplished through our work with thousands of local
advertisers annually in every conceivable business category.
Most of our work occurs in the automotive, home-related,
financial and healthcare sectors. But each year we also
dedicate time to give proper attention to Cause Marketing
initiatives in our local markets. Over the years we've
worked with hundreds of community causes, from Alzheimer's
to Red Cross to Boys & Girls Clubs to The American Cancer
Society (and plenty more).

When you consider the staggering volume of business owners
we've met over the years, even "playing the highlights"
would take some time. There was the auto dealer who sold
2,400 cars a month (the average US dealer sells about
63 vehicles a month). There was the family-run furniture
store who, with our help, captured over 50% of their market's
share and is now pushing toward 60%. There was the
credit union who went from writing $10 million in auto loans
each month to $21 million (in a span of 5 months). There
were the homebuilders closing thousands of new homes a
year at a steeply increasing rate.

And the list goes on and on.

Here's the real history of Eckstein Summers Armbruster &
Company: Every day we're in the market, another "Raving
Fan"story is about to be written.

Aside from thousands of clients and the raving fans, ESA
goes "beyond the call" to service the station and the
advertiser. The company features the industry's best
New Business conference, delivers results-oriented sales
training specifically designed to enable AEs and sales
managers to write significantly more New Business
immediately, and provides leading-edge market insight that
keeps sales teams several steps ahead of their competition.
We take the job of New Business very seriously.

But it all begins with the advertiser. Setting New Business
records on a yearly basis is great, but it means nothing if
the advertiser isn't succeeding. And if you ever want to
evaluate the worth of New Business, just check the renewal
rate. Advertisers who know that something is working are
much more likely to look in your direction next year. And
the year after that. And the year after that.

The best part of our company's history is that you get to
play a part too. It could be today, tomorrow, next week.
Whenever a business owner is ready to do more with less,
to win share from the competition, that's when we're ready
to start writing another chapter.
